Abstract :
Modern vessels have comprehensive platform management capability that allow them to achieve unprecedented levels of operational effectiveness and contribute to crew reduction. The focus of this paper is to address a new knowledge discovery method based on data mining to support the task activities for integrated management of ship propulsion system. The requirements of management knowledge are analyzed. Data mining algorithm is put forward to identify the related useful running mode knowledge of marine propulsion system. This new method which based on data mining would enhance the capability of knowledge based management for marine propulsion system.
