Abstract :
Students´ learning motivation and study effect have become the focus of teachers and students, and effective motivation management of learning can help to improve students´ study effect. In this paper, students´ English learning motivation is classified by four categories: seeking knowledge type, achievement type, development type and passive coping type. And study effect includes written English scores and spoken English scores. The English learning status of 450 students in different colleges, majors and grades are sampled, and the analysis of correlations between different learning motivations and study effect is conducted with the statistical analysis software-SPSS. The statistical results show that study effect has a positive correlation with seeking knowledge type, achievement type, development type, and negative correlation with passive coping type. Then some management recommendations are put forward for the different motivations.
