Abstract :
In this note, we interpolate geomagnetic field values on non-sampled boundary regions with modified Shepard method for improving the boundary conditions and increasing precision of geomagnetic field model. The modeling results show that the modified Shepard method has better performance in decreasing deviation of interpolation and improving precision of geomagnetic model comparing with the traditional method of appending the geomagnetic reference data.
