Abstract

Base on the view of environment education in geography, this paper analyses the uniqueness of using the RS (Remote Sensing)/GIS (Geography Information System) technology as an assistant tool in the practical teaching. From the teaching practices, it has been showed that this method can broaden the horizon of geography environment education way of thinking and explore new ways to enhance the education quality. It is significant for not only consisting with the requirements of essential-qualities-oriented education and geography curriculum reform, but also representing the trend of development in geography and the information society.
