Abstract :
With the development of science and technology, people pay more attention on the using of resource. As wood is a not inexhaustible resource, many researchers want to find advanced methods which can reduce the waste materials and enhance timber utilization rate. This paper studied the intelligent numerical control machine for wood processing. Firstly, the requirements of wood processing machine were analyzed. Secondly, the overall structure was established based on web. There were six modules such as tomography images analysis module, log defect identify module, intelligent cutting module, monitoring module, machine fault diagnosis module and data manage module. By using Computerized tomography (CT) technology and digital image processing technology, three dimension data can be reconstructed according to the CT scanning images. The algorithm was given. The size, grade and defects of every sawed lumber can be intelligently obtained. The flitch slicing plan can be optimized. Compared the general machine with the intelligent NC machine, the latter can enhance utilization rate of wood greatly.
