Abstract :
The steel box beam in the Gulf Bridge adopts huge segment lifting construction method, with steel tube falsework as a temporary bridge pier. In this paper, established the finite element model of the steel tube falsework, determined the relevant calculation parameters according to the applicable bridge codes, calculated working conditions and the load, and analyzed the stability of the falsework. The results showed that the falsework meet the stability requirements, and the plane connecting bar produced lateral instability. Currently research for the combined steel tube falsework using the large-tonnage lifting construction is rare reported, so the research can provide useful reference for such type of design and construction of the falsework.
