Abstract :
The strengthening technique by use of bonging carbon fiber reinforced polymer or steel plates in the two-way concrete slabs is widely used, but so far, any study on bonging one-way steel strips in strengthening two-way reinforced concrete slabs is available. Therefore, experimental study on the behavior of the two-way RC slabs strengthened with bonding one-way steel strips was carried in this paper, and the calculation approach to determine the load-carried capacity of the strengthened slabs was also proposed by means of the yield line theory.
