Abstract
Based on the information about bird flu collected from Internet, this paper analyzed the space-time change of global bird flu with the application of geographic information system (GIS) and discovered the principles of the inter-years periodicity of global bird flu attacks in recent 100 years, its within-year change since 2003 and the originating areas of global bird flu, thus finding : (1) the relationship of the global time-space distribution of bird flu and the routes of migrant birds which implies that latter may be an important spreading media of bird flu ; (2) the virus of H5N1 might be latent in water environment and then induced by some harmful materials when weather changes sharply and (3) the bird flu tend to be an epidemic disease with a high frequency and risk relating to ecological environmental changes.
