Abstract
This article, firstly, introduced the operating principle of variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) wind power generation based on a structure of dual PWM converter. Then the mathematical model of network-side and rotor-side converter was set up. Decoupling control and vector control technique were presented based on grid voltage orientation and stator flux orientation to simplify the control strategy. Finally, the simulation on Matlab/Simulink software showed that the AC-excited converter adopting the control strategy presented in this article enjoyed a good input and output characteristic, and achieved the decoupling control of wind power system´s active and reactive power. The energy also could flow in two-direction.
