  • Abstract
Dynamic performance is compared and studied between normal concrete and light-weight aggregate concrete hollow board in the renovation of bridges under the same intension. Based on the theory and experiment, together with practical project, performance and destructive features of light-weight aggregate concrete hollow board are analyzed, and the bearing ability of the board is defined. Light-weight aggregate concrete hollow board has a relatively small remnant distortion, and an approximately linear relationship between load and flexibility exists. But light-weight aggregate concrete hollow board has a small cracking load, and its crack appears earlier and splits quicker than that of the normal concretes under the same condition. Therefore, attention should be paid to the calculation of the maximum width of the crack in design. The test analysis will be helpful for the application of light-weight aggregate concrete in the building of bridges.
