Abstract :
A verification method for vehicle speed measuring systems which is comprised of simulating excitation and on-site test is introduced, and the inductive loop system is used as an example for discussion. Repeated simulating excitations in full scale are performed to ensure the correctness of the principle equation with an undetermined coefficient k, and a few times of on-site tests are performed to calculate the coefficient k. This method provides a simple and efficient way to install, adjust and verify vehicle speed measuring systems, and has been recommended in the nationalmetrology verification regulation.
