Abstract :
In this paper, the wind generator having super multi pole (128) for vertical type machine was designed. In order to satisfy the low cogging torque, some design parameter such as air-gap, number of slot, poles, slot open size and skew angle was evaluated. From the simulation results of the wind generator, we find out that the number of slot is most important factor for reducing the cogging torque and high performance in low speed operational area. Moreover, from the prototype of designed wind generator, we could achieve the efficiency of 92% and cogging torque of 0.3Nm.
