Abstract :
This paper deals with a core loss calculation of high-speed permanent magnet (PM) machine according to driving method, namely, sine wave and square wave drive from curve fitting method using modified Steinmetz equation considering anomalous loss. For an accurate calculation, magnetic field analyses in stator core considering the time harmonics are performed. In addition, using the nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA), we applied separated rotating and alternating magnetic field to core loss calculation.
