Abstract :
Recently, the requirement for a high efficiency motor has increased; further, considerable attention has been paid to a permanent magnet (PM) motor, which has been studied in many researches. Therefore, we have studied a line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor (LSPMM), which can start as an induction motor and operate as a PM motor. In this paper, for the purpose of calculating asynchronous starting characteristics of an LSPMM, the method of the constant decision for proposed analysis method of LSPMM are mentioned. Further, the calculating results are confirmed by a comparison with an experimental result. In addition, the vibratory torques generated and the simulated results obtained at the asynchronous starting period of an LSPMM are mentioned in detail.
