Abstract :
This paper advanced a hand geometry recognition method based on Gaussian mixture model (GMM), which used One-dimensional centroid distance series to describe 2-dimensional hand geometry. Each departed finger obtained one centroid distance series, which was used to build a Gaussian mixture model and applied to hand geometry recognition. At last, the results of experiment verified that this method was effective.
