  • Abstract
    This paper presents dynamic characteristic analysis of permanent magnetic actuators (PMA) for driving mechanism of vacuum circuit breakers. Using coupled 3-dimensional finite element method, we calculate electromagnetic and mechanical characteristics such as currents of winding, velocity, and force of PMA. To obtain accurate analysis results of PMA, the circuit parameters such as inductance and resistance of windings are calculated by coupled analysis with external voltage circuit.
