Abstract :
Energy storage system (ESS) has been proposed to smoothen the wind generator output fluctuations. However, power converters are required to integrate the ESS to wind turbine generator system (WTGS). This paper proposes a new scheme of ESS connection to WTGS in order to reduce power losses due to power converters.
