  • Abstract
    This paper investigates the thrust characteristics of the tubular transverse flux permanent magnet linear machine (TFPMLM), including theoretical analysis and numerical calculation. The influence of structure parameters on the thrust force and cogging force characteristics is analyzed in detail. Special attention is paid to the length of stator segment, height of permanent magnet (PM), air-gap length and pole arc coefficient. The analysis results provide a foundation for the optimum design of electromagnetic launcher.
