Abstract
When switched reluctance generator (SRG) is operating below its rated speed, the back electromotive force(EMF) may be lower than the excitation voltage, as a result, the phase current will decrease after turn-off angles and reduce the conversion efficiency of the system. To solve this problem, a power converter topology which can change generation voltage is present in this paper, and applied to wind power generator system. Compared with the conventional asymmetric bridge converter, the proposed converter needs less power switching device and can regulate the generation voltage smoothly. The feasibility and validity of SRG system are verified by Matlab simulation of system.
