Abstract :
Hybrid-excited flux-switching (HEFS) machine is a relatively novel brushless machine having magnets, armature windings and field windings in the stator, as well as a simple and robust rotor. In this paper, the control strategies for the proper injection of field currents are proposed and implemented by a simulated model based on Matlab/Simulink. The predicted performance confirms the excellent flux-regulation capability of a prototyped HEFS machine in both constant-torque range and constant-power range.
