Abstract :
This paper presents a vector control system of the double-stator permanent magnet brushless (DS-PMBL) motor with surface mounted topology. Firstly, an accurate numerical simulation model of the DS-PMBL motor was established by means of Simulink. Then, the simulation of the proposed control system was implemented based on the DS-PMBL motor model. At last, the dynamic performance of the proposed control system was investigated when the motor speed or loadings torque have a sudden change. Both the simulation and experimental results are given to verify the proposed vector control strategy.
