  • Abstract
    With the development of computer graphics and non-photorealistic rendering, manga production has developed towards computer aided design. However, so far, there has not formed a CAD (Computer Aided Design) approach for manga simulation based on frontal face. So, in this study, we adopt the method such as Sobel algorithm, ASM (Active Shape Model) and curve fitting to generate the facial image of Japanese manga by converting reference image with frontal face into line drawing of head contour and inserting some template of facial expressions. Therefore, the CAD of Japanese manga based on reference image with frontal face can be realized.
