Abstract :
Railway is an important channel of modern logistics. The price of railway freight is the main factor which affects the cost of logistics. Therefore, the research on the railway freight price is significant for the modern logistics system. The pricing in Chinese railway transportation has been unified for a long time. Relevant government authorities adjust the nationwide rail freight price under specific circumstances of different stages. This pricing model takes time, which affects the relationship between rail freight price and costs, into consideration. However, it ignores the region factor, which plays a more and more important role nowadays and causes defects to the existing rail freight cost-pricing model. By analyzing the composition of rail freight costs with the principle of transport economics, the rail freight cost-pricing model is established by taking time and region into account. The linkage mechanism should be gradually established by connecting rail freight and other factors, so that railway freight prices can be adjusted with the cost changes.
