Abstract :
In this paper, the authors establish a system to carry out real-time measurement of temperature fields and thermal errors in machine tools. A mean filter is introduced in signal processing to get more accurate experimental data. An experiment is performed on a vertical machining center, and the experimental data are analyzed in figures. In thermal errors data processing, the thermal deformation of the aluminum plate for fixing the laser displacement sensors are considered to improve the accuracy.
