Abstract
A shearer designed by coal company´s was taken as a project object, rigid-flexible coupled models of the whole shearer were established based on multi-domain modeling and simulation technology, The technical problems about how to calculate the shearer´s loads, how to add the loads on the whole shearer and how to set the simulation solver parameters had been discussed. From the simulation results, the stress and deformation of the shearer in working condition had been predicted. Problems such as stress concentration of the shearer´s shell and planet shaft and large deformation of the planet carrier were found, and also the improvements and optimization programs were put forward after the simulation. It really gave some certain references to improve the shearer´s working reliability. At the same time this technique also provided a new way to research the reliability of shearer.
