Abstract :
Zhangze Reservoir, which plays significant role to fulfill industrial and municipal water supply, irrigation and flood control, is one of the water source of Changzhi City in Shanxi Province, China. At present, water pollution of Zhangze Reservoir has exerted enormous influences on sustainable development of the basin, and produced greater threat to the health of people surrounding the reservoir. Therefore, it has been an urgent task for local governments and technical staff to take measures for the protection and treatment of Zhangze Reservoir. Based on the analysis of present state of water quality and pollution sources of Zhangze Reservoir, based on the total pollutant amount in watershed, and corresponding engineering plan for comprehensive treatment of the lake were put forward.
