Abstract :
This paper introduces an information quality metric and a definition for fusion gain in multi-target tracking systems. We validate the reasonableness of these quantities and illustrate the relationship between fusion gain, scenario difficulty, and tracker effectiveness. The information quality metric is closely related to the information reduction factor, and has direct application to sensor management.
