Abstract :
The HDMI 1.4a standard does not contain specific terms of 3D video format for DLP TV system. To fill in the blank, authors of this article convert the 3D video format using Altera Cyclone III FPGA device, and build an integrated 3D display system by a diamond DMD. In this display system, the FPGA device, core of video signal processing, with two DDR2 high-speed memories and the DVI interface, convert the page flipping video signals into pixel-interlaced 3D signals. The pixel-interlaced 3D signals are then transmitted into the DMD driver electronic, 3D image are displayed on the screen while with a pair of active 3D glasses, The 3D images is FULL HD (1080p@60Hz) resolution.
