Abstract :
Auto body in white is composed of more than 200 stamping parts, the parts are connected to each other with the method of jointing. In order to make jointing easier, each part must carry through positioning fixture, which is called Automobile Welding Line Fixture Design. The fixture tools have to be changed if the type of cars or the position of parts is changed. Therefore, automobile welding line design is non-standard design. Nowadays, the world automobile manufacturers try to enhance their market competitiveness in order to meet the individual market, diversified requirements, therefore automotive type updates faster and faster, the automotive type is restricted by the welding fixture design speed. This paper describes how to use UGNX and Computer Aided Design Technology to carry out automotive welding line fixture design from the following three aspects which include standardization, modularization and software secondary development. Standardization includes universal parts standardization and private parts standardization, modularization includes parts modularization and fixture unit modularization, software secondary development includes automatically generating two-dimensional map frame, details column of two-dimensional assembly drawing and automatically generating technology requirement of fixture parts.
