Abstract
Ambient PM10 was sampled during September 17th, 2007 to September 23th, 2007 and during January 14th, 2008 to January 20th, 2008 at three sites (Tongshan animal hospital, Yellow River village and HuaiTa) in Xuzhou. The samples were analyzed for 16 metal elements (Na, K, Mg, Ca, Zn, Fe, Al, Si, Cu, Mn, Co, Pb, Cr, Ti, V and Ni), three anions, elemental carbon and organic carbon. Chemical mass balance (CMB) receptor model was applied to determine the source of the PM10. The result of CMB showed the dominant source factors for PM10 was the dust with >;47.9% in winter, and with >;32.1% in summer. Metallurgy and soot were the minor source factors.
