Abstract :
In this paper, the results of wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) measurements around 800 MHz in urban macro (UMa) and outdoor to indoor (O2I) scenarios are presented. The motivation for conducting the measurements was to extend the frequency range of the International Mobile Telecommunications-Advanced (IMT-A) channel model down to 700-800 MHz. The measurement campaigns on the lower frequency bands reported in literature are mostly narrowband measurements and therefore new measurements were needed. The results reported in this paper include path loss, shadow fading, delay spread, angular spread and Ricean K-factor. Angular spreads for both the mobile and base station are not previously presented in the literature for radio channel propagation at 800 MHz range. Also extensive measurement results for outdoor to indoor scenario around 800 MHz are non-existing in literature.
