Abstract
We have developed a system for digital camcorders based on the ´Specifications of Consumer-Use Digital VCRs.´ LSIs for 3CCD camera signal processing, video compression and data processing are developed to realize high quality recording and playback of the digital camcorder. The digital interface based on the IEEE 1394 standard is installed in our system. We also developed a mechanism with the volume of about 40% of that for 8mm camcorders. With the LSIs and the mechanism we can realize high quality consumer-use digital camcorders.
