An edge-preserving image interpolation system for a digital camcorder

Conventional image zooming techniques suffer from degradations such as block effect and excessive lowpass filtering. Those degradations become worse as the magnification ratio increases. Here, an image interpolation system, which produces more natural images than the conventional ones is proposed and its hardware implementation technique is also presented.
