Abstract
In this article, a divide-by-3 frequency divider (FD) fabricated in the 0.18-μm CMOS process technology is presented. The proposed FD adopted the current reuse and the back-gate coupling techniques and it can produce quadrature outputs. The circuit draws a 13mA current from the 1.8V supply voltage. The measured free-running frequencies are from 1.091 GHz to 1.407 GHz. And the proposed FD can cover the input frequencies from 3.26 GHz to 4.38 GHz at the incident power of 0 dBm.
