Abstract
In this paper, a new compact filtering antenna using defected ground resonator is proposed. Based on the co-designed method, the Γ-shaped antenna and defected ground resonator are used and integrated to be a filtering antenna. According to the filter specifications and design approaches, the proposed filtering can be realized efficiently. As an example, a 2.45 GHz second-order Chebyshev bandpass filter with 0.1 dB equal-ripple responses is tackled. The proposed structure supply good filter responses, including the return loss, total radiated power, and antenna radiation patterns. Moreover, the measured results also have good agreement with the designed one.
