Abstract
The paper reviews the principles, technologies and implementations onboard satellites of semi-active multi-matrix reflector and array antennas. The topic was introduced 20 years ago, but semi-active antennas are now used and will be used for many mobile communication satellites worldwide and also for some conformal antennas.
