Multiwavelets in MRI

Improvements in MRI systems addressed many topics but few papers dealt with using wavelet for excitation purposes. Here we report on the advantages of using multiwavelets for the representation of the spin density function, considering the acquisition time point of view. The paper is structured as follows: a brief presentation of MRI fundamentals, recall of wavelets application to MRI, the meaning of multiwavelets decomposition, the proposed utilization together with simulation results, conclusions.
