Abstract :
With the emergence of Conductor Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Core, a new way to solve line capacity expansion, transmission corridor reduction and other problems is introduced. This paper analyzes the advantages and investigates the scientific research and application situation for this conductor. It can be seen from the result obtained from computational analysis of technical-economic efficiency of application of this conductor combining with typical parameters of 220 kV reconstructed line and 500 kV newly constructed line in China that the application of Conductor Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Core is feasible from the perspective of technology and reasonable from the perspective of economy.
