Abstract :
Feeder automation (FA) system will encounter interference from various failures in its processing period, including the communication failures between field devices and FA system. They have a variety of impacts on the fault location, isolation and restoration, and even lead to failure of the whole system. This paper analyzes the types of communication failures which FA algorithm may be encountered, and then analyzes the performance or result of the FA algorithm when it faces these disturbances. Based on these, a method which can evaluate the impact of FA System form communication failures is put forward. And a simulation system is designed for testing robustness of the FA algorithm in communication failure.
