Abstract :
Early in 1999 the Yangjiaping Power Supply Bureau started to explore power distribution automation which was then put into operation in 2005 and passed the examination of the Chongqing Electric Power Corp. With ten years efforts of construction, operation, exploration, the Yangjiaping power distribution automation system has been operating in a stable way and has provided a cogent guarantee for the safe operation of the distribution grid. This paper first analyzes the structure of the power distribution automation system and then gives an account of its functions and characteristics. The system explores the application of high technology in smart distribution room, communication network of the distribution system based on EPON and precise fault location in low-voltage distribution automation.
