  • Abstract
    As the development of local economy and the expanding of urban zone, the overhead electric transmission lines of every voltage are all limited to a certain extent. Consider of the city planning and huge electricity requirement, 220kV substation with all cables inlet and outlet are experimented and extended step by step in Wuxi, adopting 240MVA high capacity transformer and 2500mm2 cross-linked cables, and their design and construction are both at exploration stage. This article simply studies on the layout of substations already in operation, construction and design, and provides some approach for the similar substations´ design in the future.
