Abstract :
National Development and Reform Commission of China has agreed to build 10 GW wind power base along Jiangsu coastland, which has plentiful wind power resources, and Jiangsu Province will be one of the seven wind power bases in China. Wind power´s random variability is the main impact on power system, where there is higher portion of wind power, there is more impact. In this paper, from power system technical and economic point, the impact of large-scale wind power on Jiangsu power system is studied by characteristic analysis of wind power, mathematical model building and system simulation. As a result some suggestions are presented for structure of power resource, transmission network strengthening and system operation.
