Abstract :
In comparatively concentrated areas of wind farms, the active output curves of the wind farms take on some similarity due to the closeness of those farms and their identical wind conditions. Therefore the study of active output characteristics of wind farms is significant for the dispatching operation of electric grids. This paper, based on the real measured data of the active output from Jiangsu EMS system, gives detailed analysis of the active output from different wind farms in coastal area of Jiangsu Province, and investigates the correlation and fluctuation of active output among different wind farms and the impact of its characteristics on grids.
