Abstract :
As the object oriented method appeared in the computer science field, most monitoring control systems, especially their cores, real-time databases are objected oriented designed and implemented. Conventional monitoring control systems usually construct their real-time databases based on the predefined objects as the fundamental elements. This makes them easily handled for the specialized application. But when applied to complex or even integrated applications, its efficiency, especially the real-time performance can hardly meet the requirements. Neither are their maintenance and scalability. In this paper, a new object oriented real-time database storage scheme armed with dual efficient indexes is introduced. In the scheme, the attributes rather than the objects are treated as the fundamental elements, which compose the objects determined during the configuration. Then the objects form the total real-time database storage. Both indexes on the objects and types are constructed and thus enable the flexible object oriented configuration as well as ensure the efficient real-time access in the meanwhile.
