Abstract :
Enhancing monitoring and management of line loss is of great significance in reducing operation cost for electric enterprises. Moreover, with the development of smart grid and advanced distribution automation system, which means an increase in use of real-time availability and capacity of self-analysis, there is an urgent need for online calculation of line loss in distribution networks. This paper proposes an online calculation method for line loss, and the data for calculation import form the distribution Geographic Information System (GIS) and the Demand Side Management (DSM) system. This method has been tested on Nanning Power Supply Bureau of Guangxi Power Grid Corporation, and the results show its convenient, accurate, and efficient. It not only raises the management level of distribution network, but also meets the requirements of smart distribution grid.
