Abstract :
In the electricity power system, it has long been customary that electricity generators take measures to match the changes of electricity customers to keep the system in steady operation. With the development of electricity consumption and requirement, especially the increase of peak demand, it´s harder and costs more for the energy provider to provide electricity service. Demand Response requires electricity customers to participate in system operation, which helps decrease electricity cost and protect the stability of system. Demand Response has been researched and experimented abroad, but hasn´t been much studied at home. This essay research into the possibility of industrial load to participate into Demand Response, two kinds of equipments, medium frequency induction furnace and electrolytic bath, are studied about their industrial application, and methods and possibility to participate Demand Response.
