Abstract :
With the rapidly increase of electric load in urban areas, the advantage of 20kV network is more obvious such as capacity of electric power supply, place of transformer substation and power supply radius. In the other hand, it is different from 10kV network in substation planning and method of operation. We need study on the equipment selection in high voltage distribution network. Through the calculation model of equipment selection, we got the most optimal selection of transformer capacity and conductor cross-section under several kinds of connection mode. The method has proved useful to the equipment selection of urban distribution networks in which 20kV is the middle voltage level.
