Abstract :
The paper presents the principle of clamping composite insulator in the application of lightning protection system. We develop a new kind of fluoroplastics material to replace the silicon rubber as insulation hood in clamping composite insulator, which improve the thermal conductivity and stain resistance that extend the service time and reliability.
