Abstract :
It is known that electric power disturbances can cause abnormal equipment operation, resulting in the production line interruptions, equipment damage, product obsolescence, data loss and other serious incidents, significant losses. This paper studies on economic losses caused by voltage sag and short power outage within 3min. According to the voltage from the power grid and the sensitivity of user, constructing a calculation model of economic loss of voltage sag. By this model and related statistics of Xiamen 2008, calculate the economic loss of voltage sag. The model could be helpful for benefit- cost analysis of smart grid and decision making.
