Abstract :
JACQUES VAUCANSON was not an entirely honest engineer and his less creditable actions have rather eclipsed his huge contribution to modern engineering. That contribution came in the rather unlikely form of a mechanical duck that defecated ¿¿¿ the beginnings of the modern discipline of simulation.
